A wild brawl erupted in an Atlanta airport last week, the video became viral.

A chaotic fight broke out last week at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, video shows. People were seen kicking and punching each other at the Spirit Airlines boarding gate.

The fight — which broke out on Feb. 19 at the Spirit Airlines gate at Georgia’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport — involved what appeared to be two groups of men and women punching and kicking each other.

One woman climbed over a row of airport chairs to launch kicks into the crowd, as others rained blows down on each other as some fell to the floor and tried to shield themselves.

Atlanta police say they responded to reports of a large disturbance at the airport, but by the time they got to the gate, the crowd had dispersed.

On February 24, 2025, a Delta Airlines Boeing 717, which departed Atlanta for Columbia, South Carolina, at around 8:30 a.m., returned back after smoke filled the cabin mid-flight.

Delta Flight 876 was en route from Atlanta to Columbia, South Carolina, on Monday morning when “haze inside the aircraft was observed,” a Delta spokesperson said. The FAA said “the crew reported possible smoke in the flightdeck.”

The plane safely made an emergency landing at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and all 94 passengers, two pilots, and three flight attendants were swiftly evacuated using emergency slides.

The Boeing 717 twin-engine airliner produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes was developed for the 100-seat market and originally marketed by McDonnell Douglas in the early 1990s as the MD-95 until the company merged with Boeing in August 1997.

Delta flight from Atlanta to Boston suffered cabin depressurization around 25 minutes after takeoff, diverted back to Atlanta.

Wednesday, December 18 2024, Delta flight DL987 from Atlanta to Boston suffered a depressurization incident.

The flight climbed to 34,000 ft but pilots contacted ATC about the incident and immediately started to descent toward FL100.

The Boeing 757-200 (registration N723TW) turned around about 40 minutes into the flight while oxygen masks dropped for the passengers.

Once at 9,700 ft, an announcement about the situation sharing the plane was in good shape and will be landing back in Atlanta shortly.

Pilots asked passengers to keep masks on until the Boeing 757 descended to 6,000 ft and the captain said it was safe to take off masks.

The captain said 142 passengers and crew on board and 2 hours of fuel left before landing in the fog.

A Delta airlines Airbus A350-941 aircraft has clipped vertical stabilizer off a Delta Bombardier CRJ-900LR plane.

Two Delta Airlines aircraft were involved in a collision on the taxiway at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia.

An Airbus A350-900 registration (N503DN) operating flight DL295 to Tokyo, clipped the tail of a regional jet Bombardier CRJ-900LR (registration (N302PQ)) operating flight DL5526 to Louisiana, causing damage to both planes.

It appears the vertical stabilizer of the CRJ aircraft fell off after the right hand wing tip of the A350 clipped the regional aircraft.

At 10:07AM, two aircraft made contact at the intersection of taxiways E and H on the north airfield. No injuries are reported. Passengers from one aircraft are being bussed to concourse B; the other aircraft taxied on its own power to its gate. There is minimal impact to ops.”

Atlanta Airport statement

Both aircraft were taxiing for departure with the CRJ-900 holding short of runway 08R at taxiway H. At that time the A350 taxied along taxiway E.

The Boeing 757-200 (registration N683DA) arrived in Atlanta from Las Vegas on Sunday night. It landed at 21:19 EDT on runway 8L.

I’m deeply saddened to share that three TechOps team members were involved in an accident that took place early this morning in Atlanta.

John Laughter, Chief of Operations of Delta TechOps

The incident occurred in the maintenance area of the airport just after 5am on Tuesday. The plane is 31 years old.

Sources told local media that a tire exploded while it was being removed from the plane.

Delta has vowed to work with local authorities as an investigation is launched to determine what went wrong.
